Nash Point to Ogmore By Sea

Having parked at Ogmore and caught the bus back to Marcoss I am walking the lane down to Nash Point to start todays amble. I chat to an old man and his dog. He say’s he’s too old to do walking as I am. You’re never too old ! are you ? Sometimes I wonder 🙂 Here I am at the start by the Cafe.

Its a grey mild day and it is threatening rain which the land needs badly if this shot is anything to go by. Wet Wales has not been quite so wet recently. It’s mid August; by the way in; 2022.

Its quiet and the coast stretches out before me when I see this beach far below and two swimmers. I take a rest on the bench from where I took this shot and ponder the climb out the other side, Here goes !

The coastal erosion is obvious by the uprooted fence post and some spectacular outcrops and high cliffs,

I send off a commentary along the lines of ‘I am done raving’ as I enter the ruins of “Dunraven Castle” – The ruins are quite extensive and after walking through them you exit through a pair of gates with a crested shield on them.

Soon I am at a stone wall as I enter the outskirts of Ogmore. It’s got humid and I am overheating, I shed some layers before walking down hill to the car park and returning home.
