Llanelli to Pembrey Country Park
My walking buddy ‘Miss M’ has arrived and I have planned us 4 days walking which will get us to Carmarthen.
Parking here is an issue for us as the municipal park has a max stay of 4 hours and we are going to be out most of the day; probably around 6 or so. That’s disappointing so I head off to the north end of ‘the old north dock’ and park on fallow ground where one other car owner seems to have had the same idea. Now at last after this initial hiccup we are under way.
Llanelli ‘North Dock” is large and must have been inpressivie in its day. Now its used for Leisure activities.
I am surpised to see a memorial Plaques along our way; about a mile into the walk,
The weather today is mild but as my buddy would say there are a few BBC’s hanging around. The railway line, follows the coast. We find out later it doesn’t just follow but ‘hogs it’. Miss ‘M’ makes me smile with BBC the Big Black Cloud and other occasional phrases she has for certain events !
We have walked “The Millenium Way” and have arrived at Bury Port, There is ahistory board and the ‘Yarn Bombers have been active,

Not a particularly inspiring walk, however conversation and banter always helps the forward momentum. Tomorrow walk 2 from the country park may or may not be more intersting ?
