Gwbert to Mwnt
It’s a lovely day, bright and sunny and although Gwbert is quite small it warrants a rather posh looking hotel on its edge as I turn the corner and start walking uphill to re-join the coast path. Its a lot of tarmac initially and the coast is some distance away. It’s not untill I have crossed three fields that I am what I would determine as ‘on the coast’ After that Cardigan Island is in all tthe photos therafter !
The coast is a field or two away yet.
Is that “Mwnt’ in the distance ?
I am slightly ‘bored’ with it today & I don’t quite know why. I am happy enough. Its probably because I am so distant from the shoreline and corn filled fields, although important don’t really do it for me.

I am not so far away from ‘Mwnt’ but not as close as this picture of a ‘paddle boarder’ taken with my tele-photo would suggest. More about that later. I am sat down munching when I put the ‘lens’ on my camera to spot said ‘boarder’ doing her thing. I didn’t know it was ‘she’ at the time of the photograph ! Mwnt looks spectacular.

At walk’s end I spoke with this lady who explained that when she ‘put the towels on each end of her paddleboard’ the two dogs knew they were allowed to ‘get aboard’. another pun ! An interesting conversation was had about how she trained them.

Not a particularly inspiring walk today ! Bed and wrong side comes to mind. Forever friend has been enjoying a seat overlooking Mwnt beach with the beautiful but small church in the backdrop. Dolphins feed here and after my walk’s end we saw them while drinking a coffee from the nearby cafe. That was reward enough. Wales from now on may be a little disjointed as further travels are required and the use of Air-B-N-B’s as I move further afield. A couple more pictures from today.

Mwnt I believe means “Mound“
