Little Orme to Llandudno

It’s Day 2 of our stay and sunny. Having found a long-stay car park we are taking the bus to Penrhyn Bay to walk Northward to Llandudno. Angel Bay is beside ‘Little Orme’ and it’s a great time to see Seals at this time of year.

After seal viewing we backtrack around Little Orme to arrive at its Llandudno side and then walk the length of the Esplanade to finish beside the War Memorial. It’s a 5.1 Mile Walk with some roadway as we didn’t climb the Orme.

We are around the other side of Little Orme (North) looking out to sea with the very long esplanade of Llandudno to our left.

The ‘Long’ Esplanade

We are seeing Liverpool & the Wirral’s electricty supply (or some of it) as there is an expanse of wind turbines which I believe is one of 2/3 such installations.

We head into Llandudno finishing our walk at the War Memorial. On Thursday because tomorrow’s forecast is poor we will walk from the lighthouse down the East side of Great Orme to the memorial. For a reason !

Joining the latter 2 walks will MAKE a walk I have planned in 2025 obsolete allowing me to move further down the North Flank of the Llyn peninsular than previously planned.

It’s time now to head back to the lighthouse to a good book and think about what we will do tomorrow in the rain!
