Whitesands to Abereiddy
What a great view it is, as I head gently uphill from Whitesands and enter a wide expanse of rocky hillocks preceding what looks like a rugged cut through the landscape by the coast path.

Its that time of year when the Seals have come ashore to have their pups. Various coves, usually well protected by their difficulty of access, now have lots of ‘pups’ to see. The beaches are sometimes heavily populated and other times, not so much. I see a beach full of seals as we are turning a corner on my next stretch, about 2 miles into the walk.

Now on the horizon is a ‘pimple’ of rock and I’m wondering whether or not I have to climb it? Oh dear! As we get closer, much to this old man’s relief I see the path goes around it , and its time for lunch.

I have just parted with a ‘tenner’ of my money ! Father and daughter were walking the coast to raise money for Cancer Research and knowing I’m a sucker for good causes it wasn’t too hard for them to benefit their cause. I would be a little richer if we hadn’t walked today. I don’t mind at all having ‘escaped’ it myself! Father and daughter are coming out of Cardiff when they can. It’s a piecemeal effort. I am supposed to look on their ’blog’ for a mention but my memory fails me. I am surprised your reading this 🙂

A mile or so later I enter Abereiddy a tiny inlet which is today’s walking Terminus.
