Marloes to St Brides
Its suprising what you see if you look hard enough either upward or downward. A glance down and a rather large ‘mushroom’ caught my attention. Definitely ‘No Smoking Allowed’
Today I am with ‘lifelong’ friends V & T and as there are two vehicles I have no need of the excellent ‘shuttle’ service that Pembs C.C offer to get me back to Marloes to start the walk. This is the usual practice when I am by myself. Park at destination , bus to start, WALK, drive home.

I am not a ‘twitcher’ so don’t ask; but ‘looking up’ I thought ‘freedom’ and is why I walk. The sense of space , fresh air , room to think and be peaceful is a wonderful sensation or ‘place to be’
Chatting with my mates I am not as focussed as some times on what’s around me but enjoying the ‘banter’ and reminiscing hugely.

Around half way we reach St Martins Haven where you can catch a boat to Skomer, famous for its puffins. I had booked previously but poor weather ‘stopped play’. Very disappointed especially as ‘friends’ got onto the island the folowing week. Its a very very popular excursion !! Don’t wear ‘heels’, “flip flops” on the jetty unless you fancy a swim !

There are a few people about today, more so than usual as we are relatively ‘late’ to my usual escapist; early start times. I’d much rather be later with my buddies although being early has its advantages. Solitude and clear shots ! I imagine para-gliding of this one. There is obviously a way down to the beach, a long way below us.

The fishermen amongst us get into some slightly ‘scary’ spots and occasionally need the service of the R.N.L.I I have been told when I have spoken to personnel of “The National Coast Watch’ The fishermen can be seen on closer viewing center of the picture.

We walk alonside the boundary wall of St Brides Castle as the walk comes to an end. If you’re feeling flush and have purchased a ‘holiday propery bond’ “HPB” you can stay and enjoy a quality experience.

Its the time of year to see seal pups and the NEW ‘Telephoto’ comes in handy to view parent guarding her off-spring, the other pups and a Cormorant enjoying the ‘Peace & Quiet’
