St Ishmaels to Dale

Moving past the signpost I turned off at last week I am heading to today’s destination of ‘Dale’. I know this will be fulfilling because; not only is it a popular tourist destination and water sports centre it has that magic ingredient for me called “coffee”. The plan is to avoid roads as much as possible and today its all coast a ‘first’ so far.

My long awaited super duper telephoto lens has arrived, slowing me down considerably due to its weight. I’m asking myself will I manage? I’m looking for a bridge to get me across to Dale. I can’t see it as I cross the beach trying not to twist either ankle over the rough approach.

A slightly anxious moment , until hidden in a dip at the end of the ‘Mars’ landscape a little wooden causeway came into view. Crossing this little beauty brought me to the lime kilns on the outskirts of Dale

As a water sports destination there were ‘humans’ everywhere getting in and out of boats, canoes , wetsuits and this ‘person’ didn’t last long !
